Since the govt cannot income from cannabis that is sold on the streets.
After they are capable to commercialize it, and tax it, it will be conveniently obtainable.

We are even now emotion the unfavorable stigma related with cannabis from the 50′s and conservatives have taken this value on.

Anyone who disagrees with you needs to read this:

Here’s some links that PROVE all the great things weed does. Don’t believe me, believe science. Some of these links are lists, others are studies and findings. Here’s a list if you don’t want to look at the links.

Weed has been proven to cure/treat/inhibit:
    – cancer
    – seizures
    – migraines
    – glaucoma
    – Tourette’s and OCD
    – Multiple Sclerosis
    – ADD and ADHD
    – IBS and Crohn’s
    – Alheimer’s
    – Premenstrual Syndrome
    – Arthritis
    – autism
    – Cachexia
    – chronic pain
    depression
    – diabetes
    fibromyalgia
    – insomnia
    – liver fibrosis
    – mad cow disease

More good news – the THC in weed counteracts any bad effects from the smoke. It’s in the 4th link down. So anyone saying that “weed has more tar than cigarette smoke” is ignorant of the facts.
Plus, it’s impossible to overdose (0 deaths from weed EVER), and it isn’t addictive (“psychologically addictive” is nonsense – anything you like to do, and have the urge to do later, is “psychologically addictive”. Watching TV, listening to music, and anything else could fall into this category).

Not to mention, hemp is the #1 cash crop, and if weed was taxed, the state would see a massive increase in revenue. Also, buying pot illegally just continues to fund dangerous cartels. Every way you look at it – we need marijuana legalized.

Because we don’t let people prescribe prescription medications to themselves for fake diseases.

Make weed a prescription drug, with the same criteria as any other, and medical marijuana would drop to 1% of what it is.

At least nobody calls being a drunk, their medication.

  3. weed first became illigal because it was cheaper to make paper out of weed than trees.

    Great words Dig My Dug

The first time marijuana went illegal was back during the world wars. They did it because while smoking weed your turned into a pacifist, which means your peaceful. They were afraid that they would lose the war because they would be too peaceful to want to fight. The modern reasons for it being illegal is because it could put a lot of companies like clothes and paper out of business. The hemp plant can be used more efficiently and eco friendly then other materials.

I used to be completely against cannabis, I completely despised it! Until I decided to give it a try. The only reason I then tried it was the research I did on it. Here are some true or false statements.

Marijuana kills brain cells: False, the only study that showed that was on monkeys and gave the results because they suffocated them with smoke, They put gas masked on their heads which allowed them no oxygen, and only smoke. Also further studies showed that cannabis is known to spurt brain cells.

Marijuana causes cancer: False, There are no studies that show marijuana causes cancer, it’s actually been proven to help eliminate cancer cells (Rick Simpsons Hemp oil, search it up at phenixtears.com) I know first hand that it works because a friend of mine that had cancer I got to try Ricks treatment and it cured him of cancer within 15 months

Marijuana can kill you: False, In over 10,000 Years that we know of, not a single person had died from cannabis use,it doesn’t affect your lungs in any way and in fact we have cannaboid receptors in our brains that are meant to take in THC

Marijuana is addictive: False, It is not addictive unless used with addictive substances via tobacco, cocaine, chemicals.

Marijuana is a gateway drug: False, you and only you choose what drugs you wanna take, it might get you near people that do other drugs but that doesn’t make you take them.

Marijuana makes you violent: False, your completely peaceful when high, your mellowed out, have you ever heard of a violent hippie? didn’t think so

The way I see it, if you’d drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes then why wouldn’t you smoke marijuana?
alcohol kills your liver and cigarettes kill your lungs and heart, Marijuana kills nothing!
I’m pretty sure I know a lot more about marijuana than all of you, I’ve studied it, and everything that i have said has been proven.

  5. A couple of reasons:
propaganda campaign associating marijuana use Mexican immigrants, blacks, and jazz musicians in the late 30′s
alcohol, tobacco, and prescription lobbyists funding anti-marijuana campaigns
some paper or rope company against hemp fibers
refusal to acknowledge the findings of the Schafer Report which disproved the myths about marijuana’s side effects
over all just bullshit reasons for impeding on our freedom to use a natural product because people have been brainwashed into believing it is terrible and are used to the status quo
