do you need a medical marijuana prescription to go to the marijuana shops in denver?

Question by Samir Akwalla: do you need a medical marijuana prescription to go to the marijuana shops in denver?
i heard marijuana in denver is now legal – even without medical conditions. so now denver has all these marijuana shops, but do you still need a prescription to buy from them? or are those shops open to all adults?

i know the rules in california are that you need a prescription to go & shop inside the marijuana stores. so i was wondering what are the specifics in denver since their rules are more relaxed.

You heard wrong. You need a prescription to buy medical marijuana in Denver.

However, you don’t need a medical condition to get a prescription (if you know the right doctors to go to).

  1. Legal as in decriminalized. Get a new news source. Check normal.org
Shops are still MMJ only. Sure some have a gift shop to peddle wears and services.
Most are a locked door and only a card gets you in.

PS – It’s a card not a prescription or a license – not in Denver or CA.
Dr.’s in CO still require a medical history for a real medical condition. Saying otherwise means you’d be purposefully lying. People still don’t see how misuse of language hurts the goal.

Repeal the prohibition on Cannabis Hemp and marijuana.
