Can you be arrested if you possess hashish even with a medical marijuana license?

Issue by : Can you be arrested if you possess hashish even with a medical marijuana license?
I’ve noticed from many folks possession of hashish even if you are a medical cannabis client is illegal and it’s a felony! Let’s say this is accurate, my concern is why do the dispensaries offer hash if it’s unlawful? And if you can legally buy cannabis with medical cannabis license, why are the concentrates unlawful?
Please answer only if you are familiar with California regulations
Thanks

Yes. It is still a federal criminal offense to possess marijuana. By the way, hash is NOT medicinal cannabis.

The California Attorney General would seem to disagree with the previous posters:

There’s no such thing as a medical marijuana “license.” What the law requires, and what you can obtain, is the written or oral recommendation of a physician to use marijuana (to include hashish) medicinally.

    EDIT:

Sorry – just noticed how you started your question:

“Can you be arrested if you possess hashish even with a medical marijuana license?”

So the “license” part we’ve already talked about. It’s not unlikely at all (in my opinion) that you can run into cops who aren’t familiar enough with the law to know that hashish is included in the medical marijuana laws. So the bottom line is that yes, you probably could be arrested, but if you are complying with the Compassionate Use of Marijuana Act, you would not be prosecuted and convicted.
