Question by : can i get a marijuana possession ticket in Arizona with a medical card?
Got pulled over by Yuma police tonight for putting my blinker on to rearly “suspicious” behavior. pulled out searched, clean car searched, clean. K-9 dog comes. Search my car again, clean. pop the trunk, clean. Look under my spare tire. A long lost little pipe, and 1 year old shakes, literally shakes. I did not even remeber it was there. Honestly. If I go get a medical cannabis card for Az. can i get these 2 things cleared? Please let me know what you think!

Nope. You had the pot and the pipe BEFORE you had the card, so it wasn’t legal.

You might be able to get a card, but you didn’t get a “fix it” ticket. You were in illegal possession marijuana and a pipe. Getting a card after the fact will have no impact on your case before the fact.

You got the ticket before you got the card, so it’ isn’t legal. Also even if you have a card, that doesn’t mean you can drive. Arizona has one of hte strictest rules about driving under the influence. Did they even give you a drug test.

“If I go get a medical cannabis card for Az” – So you mean to say that you do not have one currently, right? Then no, you probably will not get these cleared. You are allowed to possess it WITH a medical marijuana card, but you did not have that card, so you violated the law.
I also want to add that it’s people like you that give medical marijuana a bad name, and why many states have not passed it. The purpose of medical marijuana is to help people with medical conditions to deal with their symptoms, not a legal way for you to get high by making up some symptoms just to get a card.
